About Us

ELECT JUSTICE is an innovative model for voter engagement and turnout to empower and mobilize voters of color by providing access to the tools and education they need to get educated about local and national elections.

Elect Justice GA is now working to turnout voters of color in Georgia by partnering with local and statewide grassroots organizations to focus on issues that matter most to them: health care, justice, and jobs.


Informed by and led by grassroots organizations, Elect Justice GA will center the incredible organizing happening in the state, specifically uplifting the work of local organizations empowering Black and Brown residents.

The #SchoolsNotPrisons: Stop the Violence Virtual Tour

is raising awareness of local campaigns aimed at investing in alternatives to state violence while encouraging communities to vote in the critical 2020 November elections.


The tour has visited Orange County, CA; Houston, TX; Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; and Los Angeles, CA and worked with local grassroots organizations at each tour stop. Participating artists include: Vic Mensa, Ruby Ibarra, Quetzal, Ceci Bastida, John Forté, Trae tha Truth, Las Cafeteras, J. Ivy, Indigo Mateo, Joey Dosik, Akeishein, Bartòn Fitzpatrick, Mystic, Jordan Hawkins, FM Supreme, Tito Rey, Alyesha Wise, Tae Spears, Juice, Lexi Powell, ON/NOTICE, Jessa Calderon, and more.

#SCHOOLSNOTPRISONS TOUR

Using the power of arts and music to turn out the vote

During the 2020 Election cycle, over 1.2 million people watched our five-city
#SchoolsNotPrisons: Stop The Violence virtual tour in Orange County, CA, Houston, TX,
Milwaukee, WI, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA. Each tour stop uplifted the local community
issues as a way to drive voter turnout for the 2020 elections, including an Election Day
Drop Off Your Ballot Concert in the middle of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.

 

Thirty artists performed on the tour including Vic Mensa, Maya Jupiter, Aloe Blacc, Ceci
Bastida, Joey Dosik, John Forte, Ruby Ibarra, J Ivy, Mystic, Rico Pabon, Tito Rey, Trae tha
Truth, FM Supreme, Supaman, Quetzal, Indigo Mateo, Las Cafeteras, Alyesha Wise, Bartòn
Fitzpatrick, and more.
